Review: "Take My Money All-Stars" - Top Seven Reviewed Brands

The art of splash is not to be confined within opinions, but rather pour on the spice like hot molten lava on a savoury burrito. Ergo, here are the best Brand's reviewed here on this site; or better known as the 2020 Take My Money All-Stars

For a quick refresher, visit the About page for information on methods used in reviewing cannabis.

The top reviewed in this post are based on site review from Brands with 3 or more reviews. Reviews are subjective to my personal experience with a cannabis product within a time, place, location and recommendations are offered as a suggestive experience.

With that being said...on to the show!

7 Acres

Session Rating: B

Value Rating: B

The size and feel were common features for each cultivar, with a good amount of moisture contributing to pleasant aromas and flavours. From the group Jack Haze was by far the winner for its original aroma and playful high, while the White Widow was amongst the best on the market. Price point varies on 7Acres products between the Jean Guy and Jack Haze offering quality at different targets.

7 Acres Jean Guy has yet to be reviewed on this site.

Broken Coast

Session Rating: B+

Value Rating: B

The fire at their facility limited availability in the summer of 2019. When it returned, budtenders were gleeful in their excitement for their return. It's pricepoint exists on the threshold of premium and their buds are some of the chunkiest for a 3.5. The thoughtful packaging size allows the buds to shine further while appreciating efforts towards sustainability.

The Galiano and Ruxton jumped out the most for the combination of aroma and taste, however a varied portfolio is sure to help you find the right strain for you.

Cove

Session Rating: B

Value Rating: C+

Sadly, Cove fails at providing information regarding their products for they are some of the most sought after cultivars on the market. Size and feel of their nugs are not their strong suit, with several purchases containing popcorn nugs, razor close trim and seed pockmarks.

Their strength relies on some of the most potent aromas popping from each container and exploding on the grind. They excel within their price category, especially with cultivars like Green Crack, Pink Bubba and Thin Mint Cookies.

Flowr

Session Rating: B+

Value Rating: B

Flowr delivers top-notch quality expressed through a smooth, lasting toking experience with an effective, clean high. Often in sizeable nugs, these buds are pretty, helping enhance the experience.

The price point on these products can vary with Pink Kush being the priciest, but also one of the strongest with THC found as high as 25%. Offering a pleasant session experience, potent enough for a joint shared between two.

Gage Cannabis Co.

Session Rating: B

Value Rating: C+

One of the hottest Ontario LP's, early 2020 saw their return with Orange CKS and Strawberry Fire OG. This comes after an absence since summer 2019, after releasing the Craft Pack with four 1 gram buds of DJ's Gold, Josh D OG, Orange CKS and Trainwreck. As they were 1 gram buds, aspects such as Look and Feel are always sacrificed but enjoyable enough to have Gage on top of my list .

With an U.S. partnership with Cookies brand, Gage is one of the LP's I'll be keeping my eye on in the future.

Grail

Session Rating: B+

Value Rating: B

It is like a game of hide-and-go-seek, I never know where it will be or when it will show up. First making appearances in Quebec and slowly into Ontario, High Park's Grail brand offers premium bud at a valued price point. Their flowers are both visually glistening as well as powerfully potent, providing resiny dank aromas with heavy, thick smoking experience.

The only product not reviewed on this site is their Purps, which apparently sells out in one day as told by an SQDC employee. That being said, if you find Grail Purps, don't hesitate in picking it up.

Spinach

Session Rating: B

Value Rating: B

Along with Cove, Spinach belongs to the Licensed Producer Peace Naturals. Offering the same level of quality at about $5-$6 less an eighth makes this brand one of the better bargains on the recreational market.

These buds are well rounded, with quality aroma and toking experience. Their wide portfolio includes one of the few Dancehall, Green Crush and Rockstar Kush cultivars, while still executing on classics like White Widow and Sensi Star.

These are my favs as of now, stay tuned to the Latest Reviews for new reviews or the Blog for more pieces!

Happy tokin'!
